I beat the charr mission and got sent to 2 years in the future.... now i cant play with my friends in the past..... will i ever get sent to another zone???

The change from Pre-Searing to Post-Searing is, at the moment, the only time you'll be separated from anyone else. Pre-Searing is a tutorial portion of the game and there's far more past it than in it. Your friend will catch up to you and you'll be able to play together again. That's just the way it is, at least until Warmaster Tydus completes his top-secret time machine so you can travel back and forth between the past and present...

Meaning, you went into the academy, had your little PVP, then went and done the small mission then you watched the cinematic part, and ended up in seared ascalon?

You cannot go back, your friends will need to get there aswell so you can meet up with them, or you can start a new character to play with them.
